Peshawar: The brutal murder of a 16-year-old Hafiz-e-Quran has left the local community and the victim's family in deep shock. According to information, the deceased child was studying to memorize the Holy Quran and had already memorized 20 paras. Belonging to an extremely poor family, the child also worked hard to support his father. His father drives a rickshaw and the son also helped him earn a livelihood to support household expenses and continue his education. It is reported that a few days ago the child left home as usual for work, but did not return at the scheduled time. The family searched for him and finally reached the police station around 11 PM to report his disappearance. Tragically, when the family was called to the police station to identify a body, the father recognized his son. According to the family, the child was brutally murdered. His neck bone was broken and later the body was reportedly dumped on a pile of cattle dung. The family also stated that the child's rickshaw was missing. A young Hafiz-e-Quran, the support of a poor family and the son of a hardworking father has left this world, but the family's questions remain unanswered today. We strongly appeal to Peshawar Police to conduct a transparent and impartial investigation into the incident, arrest the culprits involved as soon as possible and provide justice to the affected family. A poor father had put his son on the path of Quranic knowledge, but today that same father is waiting for the arrest of his son's killers. This family deserves justice—and those responsible for the murder of this innocent child must be brought before the law.
