Islamabad, August 21, 2026: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that the detailed medical examination of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has been completed and a team of doctors has declared him medically healthy. According to Attaullah Tarar, in light of the Supreme Court's decision, Imran Khan was shifted to the hospital under proper security arrangements in the night between August 20 and 21, where specialists including an ophthalmologist, cardiologist, and physician conducted a detailed examination. The Federal Minister of Information stated that Imran Khan's sister, Uzma Khan, was also present during the medical examination and remained with him until all stages of the checkup and treatment were completed. According to Attaullah Tarar, after the examination, doctors declared Imran Khan medically healthy, following which the necessary medical procedures were completed. He further stated that after the completion of the medical examination and all other procedures, Imran Khan was transferred back to Adiala Jail at around 5 AM on August 21. The Federal Minister of Information said that providing medical facilities to every prisoner in accordance with the Constitution and the law is a fundamental right, and the PTI founder will also continue to receive treatment and medical facilities as per the jail manual. Thus, the process of Imran Khan's transfer to the hospital, medical examination, and transfer back to Adiala Jail has been completed.
